Privacy & cookie notice
Last updated:
This notice explains how biztribution uses information when you browse this website, try our demonstrations or contact us. It also explains the choices you have about cookies, analytics and communications.
Who is responsible and how to contact us
biztribution is responsible for the use of personal information described in this notice. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use the contact form linked below and begin your message with 'Privacy request'. Include enough information for us to identify the relevant interaction; do not send passwords or identity documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate channel.
This notice covers this website and its demonstrations. If you follow a link to another website, that website's privacy notice applies to your visit there.
Information we use
To open the homepage globe facing your approximate location, your browser contacts an IP-location service, which receives your internet address. This does not request your device’s precise location. The returned coordinates stay in page memory and are used only to position the globe; if the lookup fails, we estimate its starting view from your browser’s time zone.
When you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you provide, together with any business information you choose to include. Required fields are marked on the form.
When a demonstration requires access, we use the email address or access code you submit. We may check the email domain, confirm that it can receive email and, where required, send a verification link. We may keep your contact details, business domain, the demonstration requested and the date of access as part of our enquiry and business-contact records.
When you run a demonstration, we process the search details and any text you enter to produce the result. Use sample information: do not enter real passenger records, payment details, confidential business information or sensitive personal information. The demonstrations do not make travel bookings or take payments.
Operating the website involves connection and diagnostic information, which may include your internet address, browser and device information, requested pages, request times and errors. Diagnostic records may also contain demonstration inputs and responses when needed to investigate problems.
If you choose 'Accept and continue', we also collect information about pages visited, links clicked, demonstrations opened, searches run and the dates and frequency of those interactions. Where you have identified yourself to obtain access, website and demonstration activity can be associated with your contact record across visits and different days.
Why we use this information
We use your information to provide requested access and results, reply to enquiries, manage business conversations, prevent misuse and investigate reliability or security issues.
Our live demonstrations run computationally intensive searches. This is the main reason we ask for optional usage analytics: it helps us understand demand and improve platform performance. It also helps us understand which demonstrations are useful, how often visitors return and where the experience can be improved. For identified visitors, we may group interests and summarise engagement to help our team prioritise relevant follow-up. This is not a booking, credit or eligibility decision about you.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent; on steps you request before entering a contract, where applicable, for enquiries and access; and on legitimate interests for proportionate security, service administration and business relationship management. We may also process information to meet legal obligations. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
You may occasionally hear from us with updates, news, or special offers about our products and services. We'll keep it occasional and relevant, and you can unsubscribe from marketing messages whenever you like. You may object to direct marketing at any time, use an unsubscribe option where provided, or contact us. Access and verification messages are different from promotional messages.
How long we keep your information
Retention depends on the purpose of the record: dealing with your enquiry, managing an ongoing business relationship, understanding consented demonstration usage, investigating an issue or meeting a legal obligation. Relevant considerations include whether the enquiry is resolved, our last meaningful contact, the need to investigate an incident and any applicable legal retention or limitation period. Contact us for the retention details that apply to a particular record or to request deletion.
The expiry of a browser cookie does not automatically delete related enquiry or activity records. Withdrawing cookie consent turns off all optional cookies and tracking together and stops future optional collection from this browser; it does not automatically erase information already received or change the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing. Requests to erase existing information are considered separately, including any legal reasons for keeping it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you can request access to your personal information, correction (rectification), erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on it. Some rights have conditions and exceptions.
Use the contact form below to make a request. We may need to verify your identity proportionately before disclosing or changing information. If you are concerned about our handling of personal information, you can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live, work or believe a breach occurred.
Your cookie consent choice applies to this browser. Make the choice separately on other browsers or devices. Clearing website data can remove both your choice and your remembered demonstration access, so you may see the banner or access prompt again. Browser privacy controls can also restrict cookies and delete previously stored information.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website or our information practices change. The date at the top identifies this version. Where a change requires new consent, an earlier choice does not replace that requirement.
